The launch marks a significant milestone in O Audio’s rapid international expansion, following its successful entry into the U.S., Canadian, and UK markets in early 2025. The company has been steadily gaining recognition among audiophiles, with its Frigg 02 model becoming one of Steve Guttenberg’s most-viewed speaker reviews year after year. With the Icon 12 now set to debut, anticipation is high, and several of the industry’s leading reviewers are already lined up to evaluate O Audio’s latest creation.

According to O Audio, the Icon 12 is designed to be highly amplifier-friendly. Its nominal 8-ohm impedance and generous sensitivity make it well-suited for low-power tube amplifiers as well as Class A, AB, and Class D designs. For those looking for greater headroom in larger spaces, the company says the Icon 12 is more than capable of delivering higher volumes without compromise.

One of its standout design elements looks to be its asymmetrical cabinet, which eliminates parallel walls to help reduce internal resonances and soundwave reflections. O Audio also highlights its precisely engineered horn and driver layout, which aims to ensure controlled directivity for seamless integration into real-world listening environments. As a result, the company describes the Icon 12’s sound as airy and flowing, yet powerful and majestic—though we look forward to hearing it for ourselves.

O Audio will demonstrate the Icon 12 at the Florida International Audio Expo in Room 215, where attendees will have the chance to experience it firsthand and meet the team behind its development.
