THONET & VANDER BLUETOOTH MONITORS
Thonet & Vander has today announced the availability of its Kurbis Bluetooth Bookshelf Studio Monitors.
With a name going back to 1949 when the brand was established in Berlin by Hannes Josef Einrich, Thonet and Vander was reformed in the early '90s by a team of German engineers to mass manufacture quality speakers.
The rear-ported Kurbis speakers are rated at 340 Watts and promises to perform without distortion but with deep bass even at 100% volume.
The company's Hammer Bass technology magnifies the impact of bass frequencies, while the Drone FX enhances the detail in the entire frequency range, we are told.
Constructed from HDAA wood, the natural high density polymer prevents vibration and leakage of sound and so enables a more accurate, efficient and sustainable performance.
The Thonet and Vander Kurbis are equipped with 5.25-inch woofers made of aramid fibre to enhance bass. Additionally, the one-inch silk tweeters take care of the high tones.
The upper suspension ring is made of highly elastic rubber, allowing for greater displacement sensitivity as well as resistance to unwanted vibrations. The Bass Reflex resonance system works to increase the bass response and optimises the efficiency and performance of low frequencies.
Sporting Bluetooth 4.0 wireless technology, the Kurbis Studio Monitors can stream music directly from smartphones, tablets or laptops, and works with Amazon Echo and Google Home, connecting seamlessly and providing full voice control.
The RCA input also enables the speakers to be connected to a TV, DJ Mixer or gaming system.

The Thonet & Vander Kurbis Bluetooth Bookshelf Studio Monitors are available for an RRP £149.99 on Amazon UK.
