Keep Up With Hi-Fi Shows Around The World With This Handy New Website

Forget memorising dates for hi-fi and AV shows around the globe; this new Hi-Fi & AV Show Global Calendar website has you covered.

Every time I travel overseas, I find myself Googling stuff like 'audio exhibitions in COUNTRY', and then I'll have to sift through a bunch of results to try and find which ones are happening when I'm there. After a while, it can be tedious, especially if you can't quite remember dates like me. Well, no more.

The global calendar is a super nifty tool that shows you upcoming shows worldwide, whether you're based in the US, Australia, Europe or Asia. The website's user interface is fantastic, allowing you to view it in the standard List view or a Month view that resembles a Google Calendar. There's even a Map view that gives you a Google Map widget of each show's venue.

I found the Month view to be extremely useful in having a good overview of the current month and seeing which events might coincide with each other and result in possible scheduling conflicts.

It's also possible to search for individual events, and there's also the option to filter by country, so you can see shows in just one country if you prefer.

Aside from that, there's an option to subscribe to the calendar as well through Google Calendar, iCalendar, Outlook 365, Outlook Live and .ics file exports if you prefer to have a consolidated list in your personal calendar app instead of having to browse through a website all the time, which is nice.

To be instantly notified of new events being added, there's also a mailing list subscription for those of us who prefer emails.

For normal folks, this is more of a good-to-know thing for what's happening in your area. But for industry representatives or press folks like us, this is a great tool to help plan our trips without extra Googling.
