HEOS App Update For Denon and Marantz AVRs and Networked Amps

The parent company of Denon, Marantz and more, Masimo, has updated the HEOS app for even easier accessibility to radio stations, podcasts and your favourite tunes from the moment the app is opened.

HEOS, the proprietary ecosystem built into Denon and Marantz products,  allows for wireless streaming from multiple platforms directly to compatible devices, such as AVRs and network amplifiers, alongside a wide range of speakers and soundbars. Masimo has even increased the number of devices that can be connected at one time to 64 in total, meaning there's plenty of space to play around with multiple devices in a multi-room setup.

Navigation in the app is now more intuitive, with a handy “now playing” display at the bottom of the screen to keep track of which song is on. The home screen has also been revamped, with access to recently played tracks, your favourite music service and more.

There's also a universal search that can pull tracks from different streaming services and your personal library, alongside the option to mix and match songs from different streaming platforms into HEOS playlists, which means even more convenience for users.

HEOS Denon Marantz Update

Denon has been launching products with HEOS support over the years, with the Denon PMA-900HNE launched in 2022 being the company's first integrated network amplifier with HEOS built-in, and the lineup has expanded to include 19 products as of 2023, including speakers, subwoofers and more.

The updated HEOS app is now available on both the Google Play and Apple App Stores.
