Acoustic Energy AE105 On-wall Speaker Available Now
Acoustic Energy adds AE105 On-wall model to their new 100 Series of loudspeakers.
Acoustic Energy's AE105 on-wall loudspeaker follows the new 100 Series launch earlier this year, from which the AE100 MkII bookshelves have already impressed us. This versatile, 2-way loudspeaker is primarily designed for wall mounting; however, Acoustic Energy states the AE105 is equally suited to a bookcase or shelf position.
The AE105 features a soft dome tweeter with a WDT waveguide alongside a pair of 130mm paper cone drivers, one acting as a passive radiator for improved bass performance, enabling them to cover a quoted 55Hz-26kHz frequency range from the 450 x 200 x 120mm (HxWxD) units. The crossover is at 3kHz with Acoustic Energy stating 91dB sensitivity.
Optimised for vertical wall mounting with the listening position at or below the tweeter axis, the AE105 promises to enhance the stereo sound from your TV. Additionally, you can install them as Front L/R, Centre channels as part of a home cinema set-up, partnered with the matching AE1082 compact sub-woofer.
The Acoustic Energy AE105 come finished in a choice of black, white or walnut vinyl veneers, and are supplied with a rear mounting plate, template, wall spacers, and black and light grey grilles for easy integration within any room décor.
Acoustic Energy's AE105 retails for £224.99 (each) and is also available in 2.1 and 5.1 packages with the matching AE1082 active subwoofer.
